Modern Dance
Modern has a solid background in Ballet. Our Modern teachers vary their classes to incorporate many different modern dance styles. Classes also focus on the techniques required to execute a routine with precision and clarity for example; pirouettes, extensions, flexibility and music interpretation. We follow the ISTD syllabus and enter the children into exams where appropriate.
Street Jazz
Street is high energy and very stylised. Dance routines include movements such as popping, locking, funk, and hip hop hand movements. The music used in class is very urban, hip hop with a mix of beats and rhythms. Classes begin with a jazz based warm up followed by a routine that can be learnt and extended over the course of two or three classes.
